Women's PFA Young Player of the Year nominees: Man Utd's Grace Clinton looks to win back-to-back awards as Aggie Beever-Jones and Mary Fowler make the shortlist

Grace Clinton could win the Women's PFA Young Player of the Year award for a second time after the Manchester United star made the shortlist.

Clinton starred in United's midfield last season, earning a nomination after helping the Red Devils reach the FA Cup final and finish third in the WSL. She is looking to win the award for the second year running, having picked it up last season for her fine displays on loan at Tottenham. Clinton is joined on the shortlist by three Chelsea players, while there is also space for representation from Manchester City and Liverpool.

Chelsea duo Maika Hamano and Wieke Kaptein join Clinton's England team-mate, Aggie Beever-Jones, on the shortlist after helping the Blues to a WSL, FA Cup and League Cup treble. Mary Fowler of Manchester City and Liverpool's Olivia Smith are also in the running.

Beever-Jones scored nine goals in Chelsea's successful WSL campaign as well as bagging a hat-trick for England against Portugal in May. Hamano impressed in her first season in west London, while Netherlands international Kaptein defied her age of 19 in their midfield. Clinton is heading to her first senior international tournament this summer, selected for Euro 2025 after her tireless efforts in United's engine room. Fowler registered 13 goals contributions in 17 WSL matches for City, while Olivia Smith scored seven goals for Liverpool.

The prestigious prize will be awarded during a ceremony at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday, August 19. The PFA will also hand out awards to the best players in the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two, as well as the senior Women's prize.
