Arsenal have completed the signing of David Raya from Brentford after his successful loan spell at the club.

The Gunners have formally announced the permanent transfer of Raya, having had him on loan from Brentford for the 2023/24 season. During that time, the Spaniard won the Golden Glove, as he kept 16 Premier League clean sheets. He has now signed a long-term deal at the Emirates.

Per reports, Raya has cost £30m ($38m) and will once again compete with Aaron Ramsdale to be Mikel Arteta's No.1. The Spaniard was the undisputed winner of that competition this season, as he played 32 times in the league.

WHAT RAYA SAID

Raya told Arsenal's official website: “After a year on loan as a Gunner, I can finally say that I’m an Arsenal player for the coming years. I’m excited to see what the future holds but always living in and enjoying the present.

“It’s a dream come true to be here and I want to thank you for all the support you have already given me throughout the last year.”
